Ward L. Myers Elementary Odyssey of the Mind Regional Competition
The Muncy School District was honorably represented at the Odyssey of the Mind regional competition on Saturday, March 5th at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Team members McKenna Davis, Kendal Davis, Mikaila Ganoe, Hailey Ganoe, and Elizabeth Barto competed against other area teams in Division 2, for the problem entitled “Life is a Circus!” In this problem, the team had to create a performance about a young person enjoying a regular life in our world who wakes up one day to discover they were somehow transported into a circus world. In the circus world, there were original animals performing unexpected tricks, a clown, circus acts, and a ringmaster that announced the activities. The young person returned to the regular world thinking it was all a dream until they saw a mysterious figure that turned out to be from the circus. The team members created all of the scenery, costumes, props, and the skit itself. They did an amazing job and should be extremely proud of taking 5th place! They are to be commended for their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving! Special thanks to their coaches Violette Ganoe and Erin Barto, and OM Coordinator Stephanie Trimble.
